Passports - while the new Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires valid passports for land and sea travel, a final ruling was issued allowing leniency for "closed-loop" cruises, i.e., sailings that both originate and terminate in the same U.S.

Electronic Documents - beginning with cruise departures of August 25, 2009 and beyond, we will discontinue paper documents. All guests on sailings from this date forward will be required to use Carnival's MyDocuments portal to print electronic cruise documents. This "paperless" system provides guests with many conveniences and offers the same travel documentation and information typically available with traditional cruise documents. Housed within a secure, easy-to-navigate internet portal accessible on a "24/7" basis, the electronic document system operates in "real time" which ensures that all last-minute changes are reflected.

Parents can now pre-register children online for Camp Carnival!

Camp Carnival and Circle 'C' Pre-registration - Parents can now pre-register their children for our Youth Program online before cruising. This will allow children and teens to join the various activities immediately upon boarding. A link to pre-register for the youth program will appear after Fun Pass is completed. Currently only Camp Carnival and Circle "C" are active and Club O2 will go live shortly.

I am trying to connect with someone who is booked on this ship' My interest is obtaining a MAGNETIC MAILABLE POSTCARD of this ship, PARADISE. These are 3 1/2" by 5" only for sale in the individual gift shop. They cost $3.95.

This are the last one needed for my collection. In return I can offer an official inaugural book, even exchange, for Paradise and Fascination for their magnetic postcard. NEW Early Booking Savings Program Offering the LOWEST Rates & Rate Protection Assurance

Carnival Cruise Lines is launching an exciting new cruise pricing option called Early Saver which offers fares as much as 25 percent lower than the best generally available rates and provides rate protection if rates later drop below what the consumer originally paid. Early Saver further enhances the exceptional value of a Carnival cruise vacation. Early Saver rates will be available beginning January 12, 2009 and offered up to three months prior to sailing date for cruises of five days or less and up to five months prior to sailing date for longer length voyages, subject to availability. Early Saver fares include all stateroom types, including suites. The Early Saver rate protection feature provides that if a lower Carnival advertised rate becomes available after the booking is made, a rate adjustment can be requested and the cruise line will issue the difference in the form of a non-refundable shipboard credit. The lower fare must be for the same ship, sailing date, stateroom category and number of guests. “Early Saver is a fantastic savings opportunity for those who are able to plan ahead and book early,” said Ruben Rodriguez, Carnival’s executive vice president of marketing and guest experience. “It is designed to provide consumers with complete confidence that the fare they are booking is the lowest Carnival rate available and that in the event they find a lower fare later, they need simply submit a rate protection request and we will provide a shipboard credit equal to the difference.” When booking an Early Saver fare, consumers are able to choose a specific stateroom. The standard required deposit is immediately non-refundable at time of booking. Any changes in ship or sailing date outside of Carnival’s standard penalty period require a $50 change fee. For changes inside the penalty period, normal penalties apply. To request a price adjustment, a rate protection form must be completed and emailed to Carnival. Consumers can access the form via the cruise line’s web site at carnival.com or their travel agent may complete the form via the cruise line’s travel agent web portal. The lower rate must be available at the time the form is submitted and rate adjustments will be processed within two business days. Rate adjustment requests can be submitted up to two business days prior to the cruise departure date. Early Saver fares are available for both individual and group reservations. The Early Saver fare program will be available on virtually all Carnival ships and itineraries, which include voyages ranging from three to 18 days in length to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Canada, New England, Europe, Bermuda and South America. PUERTO LIMON, COSTA RICA
December 3rd,2008

With nearly 11 days of incessant rain squalls,Limon Province of Costa Rica, racked earlier in the "Rainy Season" with a 6-month drought, has now received nerly 2 months of rainfall less than 15 days. From 17-28 November 2008, nearly 25 inches of rain fell
(625mm).

A new cold front is now stalling out today and thunderstorms this morning offshore are producing more rain squall cloudburst early this morning.

It is anticipated this will continue through Wednesday the 3rd of December, aggravating an already dangerous situation in the low lying areas near the coastline, especially at the mouths of rivers.

FUEL SUPPLEMENT UPDATE

October 10, 2008

Carnival has announced that effective October 31, 2008, the existing fuel supplement will be eliminated for all new bookings on 2010 departures. At that same time, a price increase on 2010 sailings will become effective. Additionally, we have established specific guidelines under which the current fuel supplement may be reimbursed to our guests for 2008 and 2009 voyages.

For 2008 and 2009 departures, if the price of light sweet crude oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) is $70 per barrel or less at the 2:30 p.m. close of business as reported by Reuters on each of the 25 consecutive trading days ending five trading days prior to the guest's cruise departure date, the fuel supplement will be refunded in the form of a shipboard credit. Guests who book a 2010 cruise prior to October 31, 2008, will be charged the current fuel supplement but will also be eligible for a refund of the fuel supplement in accordance with the same fuel price conditions that are being implemented for the 2008 and 2009 departures. Within the next few weeks, we will provide the daily NYMEX fuel price information at Carnival.com.

The Carnival Ecstasy and Carnival Conquest are still temporarily sailing from the new cruise terminal in Houston (the Bayport Cruise Terminal).

Carnival has still not been advised when the Galveston cruise terminal will be available. All guests booked on cruises departing through November 1, 2008 will operate from Houston. However, we will return to Galveston as soon as the terminal is available and advise all guests as required.
