Hello. I am new to this website, but glad I found it. I would like for all who are thinking about going on a cruise-GO! Our first cruise was actually a Disney Wonder cruise and we enjoyed that one, so in 2001 we decided to go with Carnival. We set sail aboard the "Carnival Inspiration" from New Orleans. Then in 2004, we set sail aboard the "Carnival Holiday" out of New Orleans. In 2005, we were on "Carnival Sensation" from New Orleans. In 2006, we were on "Carnival Valor" from Miami. In 2007, we went out on the "Carnival Ecstasy" from Galveston. Also, in 2007, we went out on "Carnival Fantasy" from New Orleans. We will be leaving July 11, 2008 to go on the "

In April, 2008 Celebration was sent to its Spanish subsidiary Iberocruzeros. She was renamed Grand Celebration. This ship has been with Carnival since 1987. Holiday remains as the oldest ship in the Carnival fleet.

At the end of our cruise, we will come into the port of miami in the morning, but our flight doesn't leave until 7pm. Any suggestions on how to spend the day and what we do with our luggage? We were considering getting a room for the day at a resort so we can use the facilities, and shower before going home.

We will be traveling on Carnival Liberty in June 2008. I was asigned a room which is located where the hallway intersects te elevators banks. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I'm concerned because of the level of traffic walking by the room.

Tropicale (ex) Sold Again,

Pacific Sun, ex Costa Tropicale, ex Carnival's Tropicale has been sold to a Spanish cruise line, Pullmantur, in March 2008. Pullmantur is due to be a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean. Tropicale was the first new built for Carnival. She entered service in 1982.

Carnivale, Carnival's second ship is due for scrapping. As Topaz she was chartered to a Japanese group who sailer her for many years as Peace Boat.

I sailed on the Miracle from New York City on August 15, 2007. I had a wonderful time!! Since I love to sing, you could find me at the Karaoke Hour or singing with the fabulous jazz group that performed in the Gotham Lounge. I love jazz and was thrilled that they allowed me to sing with them. I know that some people took videos or pictures while I was singing and I would like to find someone who did. CARNIVAL FREEDOM's Newest Postcard

CARNIVAL FREEDOM finally issued a regular 4" x 6" postcard, uncoded, It is the same photo as the perforated postcard album cover postcard but coded coded "1". Freedom is the newest ship in Carnival's fleet. November 24, December 1, 2007 we sailed aboard. There is something nice about a new ship, lile a new car.

Service was 4 stars. The dining experience exceeded my expectations. It was superior to Emerald Princess, Princess' newest ship. Also, the Princess service was below Carnival's. A comparision was possible as we sailed back to back Carnival and Princess. Carnival also had a great mix of passenger profiles which added to the enjoyment'

We just returned from the Inspiration on 2/21/08. We had a great time! We had 7 in our group. It was my family's 3rd and my mom, sister and mother-in-law's 1st! We are trying to find one for spring of 2010 in order to take a larger group of family. The ship was great--newly remodeled- and the staff was the best. The food is always top knotch, and the entertainment was excellent. I always come home a little sad--at that point I know there is a new family enjoying our great staff!

If you have never gone on a cruise, you must try it at least once! Carnival has a way of making you feel like you are the only one that matters! Any questions, let me know!

Thanks again, JoAnn Gillman. She sent me this ECSTASY magnetic postcard which arrived yesterday. Included was a note that she will be on IMAGINATION in a week or so and will obtain this ship's magnetic postcard.

Here listed are those I could use real help for anyone booked aboard these ships. These are mailable magnetic postcards available only in each ship's gift shop. All expenses would be reimbursed directly, this blog's administrator, or anyway you choose.

ELATION'S MAGNETIC POSTCARD

This is ELATION's magnetic postcard through the courtesy of M. Arroyo. ELATION was the first Carnival ship to steer without a rudder. It has two pods that turn the vessel much like a small outboard motor. PARADISE also has these azipods for manuevering.
